Scents that are OK to wear on an Interview
Rule 1 of a job interview is always bring an extra copy of your resume. Rule 2, we were always told, was to never wear a fragrance. Your interviewer could be allergic, they might not like it, or the scent might be too strong. Well we found the fragrances that are OK to wear on an interview.
Try a light airy smell. One perfume to consider is Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue – this floral and fresh smell will never be overpowering – but stick to about two squirts.
If you want to try something even a little more subtle try Flora by Gucci or Be Delicious from DNKY. The combination of citrus and patchouli make Flora a light airy scent. The cucumber, apple and grapefruit make for a nice fresh citrus smell in Be Delicious.
A green scent can also work quite well. For example, Balmain's Vent Vert might be a little risky but Molinard de Molinard could be just the right one.
When it comes to colognes, your best option is to stay with the classic scents.
Try Dior Fahrenheit. This daytime cologne is a nice combination of honeysuckle, sandalwood and balsam which makes for a light airy scent that won’t be overbearing.
The 40+ year-old cologne Guerlain Vetiver is fresh and outdoorsy. Even though it has hints of wood and tobacco, it’s a great airy scent.
Also, there will be no mistake made by choosing a light citrus fragrance like L'Eau d' Issey Pour Homme Summer.
